FUTURE
BOTANICA

What is nature?
How do we, as humans, relate to it?
FUTURE BOTANICA is an Augmented Reality (AR) experience where users can design future nature within speculative ecosystems with generative AI systems and explore their relationship with nature.
FUTURE BOTANICA is designed by Polymorf and Studio Bleu.

FUTURE BOTANICA explores the fundamental image of nature that constantly clashes with the rapid evolution in knowledge, technology, and ideas about it. It enables users to design speculative ecosystems in collaboration with AI that envisions a reimagined nature. These virtual ecosystems are planted into the existing physical environment, offering a platform to explore ideas, expectations, concerns, and aspirations about the future nature.

By creating their own creations in the app, users experience the complexity of an ecosystem, where any addition or alteration affects the functioning of the entire system.
With Future Botanica, we aim to challenge our audience to speculate on the transitions ahead. By collecting and sharing stories and ideas from different people and generations, new perspectives emerge, acting as a time capsule for the future.
